About us

After enjoying countless holidays on the Costa Brava, our dream of owning a charming old farmhouse in the south of Europe came to life. Despite warnings that the house was a ruin, we took the plunge and purchased "Can Massanet" in October 2017. Following several years of working on it during our summer breaks, we decided to make Spain our permanent home in 2021, dedicating most of our time to restoring this centuries-old Catalan Masia.

This venture proved challenging as our background was in office jobs in the Netherlands, and restoring such an ancient property was new to us. Learning as we went, we're proud to have created a wonderful holiday escape in this authentic and original building, now open for guests to enjoy.

Having lived here now for over two years, we enjoy the stunning surroundings, with the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Pyrenees on the other. The mild climate is a welcome change from Northern Europe, allowing us to enjoy outdoor lunches almost every day—year-round!
